What's new in version 8.12.34
- You can now use 1Password.com to add your account to the 1Password app without needing to re-enter your password, Secret Key, or an SSO verification code.
- 1Password for Claude can now sign in with logins set up to use supported sign-in providers.
- If you copy an account detail in the Manage Accounts pop-up, it'll no longer appear in your device's clipboard history.
- We've fixed an issue where long file paths could hide the add or remove buttons for browsers in Settings > Browser.
- We've improved how the list of accounts and vaults is displayed when you save a passkey as a new item using Autofill on a Mac.
- You can now see why Claude is requesting access to specific items by selecting the button to the right of each item in the 1Password for Claude prompt.
- Prompts related to offline items are now displayed more if you have items that can't be synced with your 1Password account, including deleted items.
- You can now select Offline Items in the sidebar if you have any items that can't be synced with your 1Password account.
- We've fixed an issue where Quick Access could open in a space other than the currently active one.
- We've fixed a few issues related to connecting an Environment to GitHub Actions, including the example workflow snippet and link to documentation.
- We've removed the 1Password MCP Server from Settings > Labs now that it's available in Settings > Developer.

I have been using 1Password for nine years. I love it and can't imagine not having it on all my devices. It's super simple to use and provides me with absolutely cruel passwords everywhere I need one and remembers them all for me. It requires me to only remember ONE! Regardless of device its integration with the system Is seamless, and with the magic of iCloud my data is shared up-to-date with them all. Yes, Virginia, it's always encrypted end-to-end. Click into a password dialog and it is waiting there for you. It's not just for passwords either. You can store credit card info, software license info, etc. It's handling of records is very rich. Many data points or just notes can be added. You can expand of each record with addition data on a per record basis. I can't say enough about this wonderful utility. It is most highly recommended! Do yourself a favor. Look no farther. Just get it and rest easy knowing that your passwords are wonderfully long, unique and secure.

Before you let your data be hosted/held hostage ... Yesterday I received this email with: "The price of your subscription is increasing from $35.88 to $47.88 on your next renewal date".
That is in increase of 33%, this has nothing to do with inflation. This is greed in the most pure form.

Bought a one year subscription. Created a p****word in a text editor to ensure that setting up my account didn't go crazy. The app IMMEDIATELY FORGOT my p****word and LOCKED ME OUT. What a POS. The ironic purpose of the software is what it can't do properly. Requested a refund immediately.

By stubbornly changing its model to subscriptionware only, against the will of their long-standing customers, and now only allowing all passwords to be stored in a cloud in the US, where (compared to Europe) there are hardly any effective data protection rights, this company has effectively committed economic suicide (even if it may occur by slow degrees). Anyone who still uses this app, which used to be absolutely fantastic, is beyond help. Being a satisfied customer for many years, I would be happy if I could report something more positive.
